Island Lake is a small community located on Rt. 176, and is divided into two counties, Lake and McHenry. This little community only has a population of about 8,150 people and it is know for it’s parks and beaches. This town is proud of having one of the most active Lions Clubs, an organization to sponsor local events, in the area.
